Refusal of Entry or Ejection of Individual from School Property

Website Notice Regarding the Refusal of Entry to or Ejection of an Individual from District Property
(19 T.A.C. 103.1207(g))

In accordance with Education Code 37.105, the District has the right to refuse entry to or eject a person from property under the District’s control if the person refuses to leave peaceably upon request and:

1. The individual poses a substantial risk of harm to any person; or
2. The individual continues to behave in a manner inappropriate for the school setting after having received a verbal or written warning to cease the inappropriate behavior.

The term of a person's refusal of entry to or ejection from the District's property may not exceed two years.
A person ejected from or refused entry to District property under this provision may appeal this action by filing an appeal under FNG(LOCAL) (parents/guardians) or GF(LOCAL) (public complaints) and shall be permitted to address the Board in person within 90 days of the commencement of the appeal if the grievance is not resolved at a previous level.

Antelope Angels Luncheon

Post ISD will be hosting a hamburger luncheon in downtown Post on November 14, 2018 to raise funds for "Antelope Angels" to provide Christmas gifts for children throughout the community. The cost for the hamburger luncheon will be a minimum $5.00 donation and includes a hamburger, chips, and drink. Post Antelope Booster Club will be selling raffle tickets for a chance to win a YETI Hopper Two cooler. Tickets for the raffle will be $5.00 each and will be available at Post ISD's central office, as well as each of the campus buildings. We appreciate your participation and support!

Post ISD Statement Concerning TEA's A-F Accountability Rating

On Wednesday, August 15, 2018, the Texas Education Agency (TEA) released the district ratings for school districts across the state of Texas. The standard of measurement used to calculate these ratings was solely established by TEA without input from stakeholders, such as students, parents, teachers, or community members. Post ISD received a "C" rating for its district accountability rating, per the formula established by TEA. We, at Post ISD, pride ourselves in providing our students with a well-rounded education; therefore, we wanted you to know the achievements we have experienced at Post ISD during the 2017-2018 school year. 2017-2018 School Calendar

On April 20, 2017, Post ISD Board of Trustees officially adopted the school calendar for the 2017-2018 school year. They also formally approved the District of Innovation plan which allows us to begin school on August 17, 2017.

Post ISD District of Innovation Plan

The Post ISD Board of Trustees passed a resolution supporting the pursuit of district of innovation status for Post ISD on Thursday, March 9, 2017. The Board also held a public hearing and appointed a district of innovation committee to develop a district of innovation plan for the 2017-2018 school year and beyond. There will be a public meeting concerning the district of innovation plan on March 20, 2017 at 3:45 p.m. in Post ISD's central administration office. The plan that was developed is attached below.
