The Board of Trustees consists of seven board members elected to serve, without compensation, for overlapping terms. These members are charged with the responsibility of providing the finest educational program possible for the students in the Post Independent School District, operating within the legal parameters of the state and federal constitutions, statutes, courts, and administrative agencies.
Persons who wish to discuss a matter regarding a specific school, teacher, or student are asked to begin at the level of closest concern.
Step One: Contact the teacher or guidance counselor.
Step Two: Contact the principal, especially if this is a school-wide issue.
Step Three: Contact the District Administrator responsible for the area of concern: Academic, Athletic, Finance, etc.
Step Four: Contact the Superintendent of Schools.
The regular business meetings of the Board of Trustees are open to the public and are usually scheduled for 6:30 pm on the second Thursday of each month at the Post ISD Administration Building. Meeting times are posted 72 hours prior to being held.
